新割安プランを年明け発表　携帯料金、ドコモに対抗―ＫＤＤＩ

　ＫＤＤＩ（ａｕ）の高橋誠社長は１５日、来年１月に携帯電話料金の新たな割安プランを公表すると表明した。高橋氏は「お客さまに選んでもらえる、競争力のある料金を提案したい」と強調。来年３月からの割安プラン「ａｈａｍｏ（アハモ）」を発表した最大手ＮＴＴドコモに対抗する形で携帯大手各社の値下げ競争が熱を帯びてきた。
　東京都内でＪＲ東日本と共同で開いた記者説明会で明らかにした。高橋氏は価格水準のほか、ドコモと同様に格安ブランドでなくＫＤＤＩ本体で値下げを実施するのかどうかなどは「現在詳細を詰めている」と述べるにとどめた。（2020/12/15-18:35）

KDDI to Release New Low-Cost Mobile Plan in Jan.

KDDI Corp. President Makoto Takahashi said Tuesday the Japanese mobile phone carrier plans to introduce a new low-cost smartphone plan in January.
The move to lower cell phone fees comes after industry rival NTT Docomo Inc. unveiled earlier this month the "ahamo" low-cost plan, to be introduced in March.
