ゴーン被告側「司法取引は違法」＝日産事件、公訴棄却求める

　日産自動車の前会長カルロス・ゴーン被告（６５）側が、東京地検特捜部と日産の執行役員ら幹部２人が行った日本版「司法取引」を違法と主張し、公訴の棄却を求める書面を東京地裁に提出したことが２４日、分かった。弁護人の弘中惇一郎弁護士らが同日記者会見し、来春にも始まる公判で主張する内容を明らかにした。
　弁護団は司法取引について、「日産がゴーン氏を失脚させ、仏自動車大手ルノーとの統合阻止を狙って行った」とし、「法の趣旨に反する」と主張。「国内外で行われた重大な違法捜査に基づいて訴追された」などと被告に対する公訴の棄却を求め、一部は時効が成立しているとした。（2019/10/24-15:29）

Former Nissan Motor Co. Chairman Carlos Ghosn plans to argue in court that plea bargains public prosecutors made with two senior officials at the Japanese automaker over a scandal involving his pay were illegal, his lawyers said Thursday.
   The claim, along with a call for dropping charges of financial misconduct against Ghosn, was submitted in writing to Tokyo District Court, the lawyers said at a press conference.
   Ghosn's trial is expected to start as early as next spring.
   "With the plea-bargaining deals, Nissan attempted to oust Ghosn and prevent a possible merger with Renault SA," the lawyers said of the Japanese company's French partner, claiming that the deals were against the spirit of the law.
   The lawyers also claimed that Ghosn has been indicted based on illegal investigations carried out in Japan and abroad. While seeking to dismiss charges against Ghosn, they insisted that the statute of limitations has already run out on some of them.
