厚労省、ワクチン供給で英大手と合意　１．２億回分、来年初めにも―新型コロナ

　厚生労働省は７日、英製薬大手アストラゼネカとの間で、同社が新型コロナウイルスのワクチン開発に成功した場合、来年初めから１億２０００万回分の供給を受けることで基本合意したと発表した。うち３０００万回分は来年３月末までに供給される。
　接種回数は臨床試験（治験）の結果を踏まえて決まるが、２回接種する場合は６０００万人分に相当する。
　同社はワクチン原液の輸入に加え、製薬会社ＪＣＲファーマ（兵庫県）と連携し国内でも製造。第一三共（東京都）など４社が容器への充填（じゅうてん）などを担う。
　アストラゼネカは英オックスフォード大とワクチン開発を推進。海外の治験では有効性を示す結果が示されている。同社は日本国内でも今月から治験を行う予定だ。
　新型コロナのワクチンでは、厚労省は米製薬大手ファイザーとも６０００万人分の供給を受けることで基本合意。さらなるワクチン確保に向けて、製薬企業との協議を続けている。（2020/08/07-21:11）

The Japanese government has reached a basic agreement with AstraZeneca PLC to receive a vaccine against the novel coronavirus from the British drug giant if it is successfully developed, the health ministry said Friday.
   Under the agreement, Japan will receive 120 million doses of the vaccine starting early next year. Of the total, 30 million doses will be supplied by the end of March.
   AstraZeneca will produce the vaccine also in Japan, in cooperation with JCR Pharmaceuticals Co., based in Hyogo Prefecture, western Japan. Japanese drugmaker Daiichi Sankyo Co. and three other companies will put the vaccine into containers.
   AstraZeneca is developing the vaccine with the University of Oxford. The vaccine has shown its effectiveness in clinical trials.
   The company plans to start trials in Japan later this month.
