日揮、イラクで製油所改修　復興支援、４０００億円

　日揮ホールディングスが、イラクで製油所の改修事業を受注する方向で同国政府と最終調整に入ったことが３日、分かった。イラク戦争後の復興支援で、事業規模は約４０００億円に上る。早ければ８月下旬ごろに正式合意する見通しだ。
　資金は国際協力機構（ＪＩＣＡ）が全額を円借款で提供する。日本によるイラク戦争後の支援としては最大級。１９７０年代に建設されたバスラ製油所の石油精製能力を増強し、ガソリンや軽油の生産量を現在の日量６万バレルから１６万バレルに増やす。７０００人規模で現地スタッフを雇用し、２０２５年の完成を目指す。（2020/08/03-16:32）

Japanese engineering company JGC Holdings Corp. has been in the final stages of talks with the Iraqi government to renovate a refinery in the Middle East country, informed sources said Monday.
A formal agreement on the project, estimated at some 400 billion yen, is expected to be made as soon as late August, the sources said.
