トランプ親子も参戦、豆の缶詰ボイコットが政治論争に発展

　ヒスパニック系のボブ・ユナヌエ最高経営責任者（ＣＥＯ）は、先週出席したホワイトハウスでのイベントで、「トランプ大統領のような指導者がいて（中略）われわれは本当に恵まれている」と述べた。
　ヒスパニック系米国人の多くは、移民政策や発言からトランプ氏を人種差別主義者と非難している。このため、ゴヤ・フーズの全商品を対象に不買を呼び掛ける声がソーシャルメディア上で広がった。
　だが、ユナヌエ氏は自身の発言を堅持。さらにトランプ氏が１５日、「（ゴヤ・フーズは）絶好調だ。極左勢力の中傷工作は、裏目に出た。人々は（ゴヤ・フーズの商品を）爆買いしている！」と反撃した。
　イヴァンカ氏も、ゴヤ・フーズのビーンズ缶詰を手にした写真をツイッターに投稿し、「ゴヤならおいしいに決まっている」と英語とスペイン語で書き込んだ。これは、ゴヤ・フーズの広告に使用されているキャッチフレーズだ。
　イヴァンカ氏の投稿には、連邦政府職員が特定の商品やサービス、企業を宣伝することを禁じた倫理規定違反に相当するとの批判が起きている。

A Hispanic-owned canned bean manufacturer is at the center of a political tussle after its boss lavished praise on President Donald Trump, triggering calls for a customer boycott.
Goya Foods is particularly popular with the Latino community in the United States.
And the reaction was fierce when CEO Robert Unanue attended a White House event for Hispanic companies last week and said we're all truly blessed ... to have a leader like President Trump.
Many Latinos say Trump is racist due to his immigration policies and rhetoric, and there were multiple calls on social media for a boycott of all Goya Food products.
But Unanue said he stood by his remarks, and Trump fired back on Wednesday, claiming Goya was doing GREAT. The Radical Left smear machine backfired, people are buying like crazy!
His daughter and adviser Ivanka Trump posed on Twitter holding up a can of Goya black beans, and writing If it's Goya, it has to be good -- the company's advertising slogan -- in both English and Spanish.
She was accused by breaking ethics rules prohibiting federal employees from promoting products, services or businesses.
Republican Trump has increasingly labelled his opponents as the radical left as he seeks to defeat Democratic opponent Joe Biden in the November election.
