コーランをパロディー化したコロナ投稿、女性に禁錮刑　チュニジア

【チュニスＡＦＰ＝時事】チュニジアの裁判所は14日、コーラン（イスラム教の聖典）と新型コロナウイルス感染症（COVID-19）を関連付ける風刺をフェイスブックに投稿した若いチュニジア人女性に対し、禁錮6月の刑を言い渡した。被告の投稿には「王と奴隷に違いはない。科学に従い、伝統を無視しよう」との一節があった。（写真はエムナ・シャキ被告）
　裁判所は、エムナ・シャキ被告（２７）がコーランを模して「コロナ・スーラ（コロナの章）」と題し新型ウイルスに触れた５月４日の投稿について、背信的で「憎悪を扇動」するものだと認めた。被告には禁錮刑の他に２０００ディナール（約８万円）の罰金も科された。被告の身柄は拘束されておらず、控訴期限までは１０日間の猶予がある。
　シャキ被告は報道陣の前に、キューバ革命の指導者だった故チェ・ゲバラの顔がプリントされた赤いＴシャツを着て現れ、「非合理的な」判決に対し控訴すると表明。明らかに動揺した様子で、「表現の自由と女性の権利が憲法で保障されているこの国で、自分の信念において自由である私を彼らは非難している」と訴えた。また、自分は脅迫を受けていたが当局は何の行動も取らなかったと非難した。
　今回の裁判がきっかけで、シャキ被告は母親と同居しているアパートの所有者から退去を要請され、現在引き払う準備をしているという。青いスカーフを頭に巻いたシャキ被告の母親は、この判決で「娘の将来は破壊された」「働くことも外を自由に歩くこともできなくなった」と述べた。
　国際人権団体アムネスティ・インターナショナルは判決を非難し、シャキ被告の投稿は「コーランの一節をまねて、新型ウイルス流行による状況をからかったユーモア」であり、「憎しみや暴力を扇動する内容ではない」と擁護。「笑いを誘うことを目的としながら、自宅待機や手洗いなどを呼び掛ける内容ですらある」と述べた。【翻訳編集ＡＦＰＢＢＮｅｗｓ】

A young Tunisian woman was sentenced to six months in jail by a Tunis court on Tuesday over a parody posted on Facebook linking the Koran and COVID-19.
Emna Charki, 27, was found guilty of offending religion and incitement to hatred in a May 4 satirical post entitled the Corona Surah, mimicking the Koran in reference to the illness.
There's no difference between kings and slaves, follow science and ignore traditions, a passage reads.
Charki, who is not in custody, has ten days to appeal.
Amnesty International has criticised her trial, saying the post was a humorous text that imitates the verses of Quran to make fun of the COVID-19 situation.
It was void of any incitement to hatred or violence, Amnesty said. The post was intended to be funny and it even includes a call for staying home and washing hands.
The novel coronavirus has claimed 50 lives and infected more than 1,300 people in Tunisia.
