三菱航空機、開発遅れで人員半減へ　北米２拠点閉鎖

　三菱重工業の子会社で、小型旅客機「スペースジェット（旧ＭＲＪ）」の開発を担う三菱航空機（愛知県豊山町）は１５日、北米３拠点中２拠点の閉鎖と人員削減を実施する方針を明らかにした。開発の遅れに加え、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大が追い打ちとなった。国内外約２０００人の従業員は段階的に半減させる計画だ。
　米本社とカナダの設計拠点を閉鎖する。時期は未定。カナダ航空機大手ボンバルディアから招いたアレックス・ベラミー最高開発責任者は６月末で退職する。残る人員は、国土交通省から量産初号機（９０席級）の商業運航に必要な型式証明を取得する作業に集中させる。（2020/06/15-18:50）

Mitsubishi Aircraft Corp., the developer of the SpaceJet small passenger aircraft, plans to cut its global workforce of some 2,000 by about half in stages, company officials said Monday.
The decision comes at a time when the company is struggling due to the impact of delays in the development of the aircraft and of the coronavirus pandemic.
