楽天、赤字３５３億円　携帯事業への投資が利益圧迫―１～３月期

　楽天が１３日発表した２０２０年１～３月期連結決算（国際会計基準）は、純損益が３５３億円の赤字に転落した。前年同期は１０４９億円の黒字だった。１～３月期の赤字は０２年以来１８年ぶり。今年４月に本格参入した携帯電話事業への先行投資などが利益を圧迫した。
　売上高に当たる売上収益は前年同期比１８．２％増の３３１４億円。新型コロナウイルスの影響による巣ごもり消費を背景に、インターネット通販サイト「楽天市場」は好調だった。一方で、旅行予約サイトやプロスポーツ事業は低迷。三木谷浩史会長兼社長は記者会見で「（これら事業は）回復に相当時間がかかる」との見通しを示した。（2020/05/13-18:32）

Major Japanese cybermall operator Rakuten Inc. said Wednesday that it incurred a group net loss of 35,319 million yen in January-March, against the year-before net profit of 104,981 million yen.
The company's January-March bottom line fell into the red for the first time since 2002. The latest net loss stemmed from upfront investment in its mobile phone business, which was fully launched last month.
