学生２割、新型コロナで中退検討　影響深刻化―団体調査

　学生団体「高等教育無償化プロジェクト」は３０日までに、新型コロナウイルスの影響で退学を検討している学生が２０．３％に上るとするアンケート結果を発表した。同団体が２２日に公表した中間報告の７．８％から大幅に増加。学生を取り巻く経済的な状況がより深刻化していることが浮き彫りとなった。
　調査は全国の大学生や短大生、大学院生らが対象。インターネットを通じ、９～２７日までに１２００人が回答した。
　それによると、自身のアルバイトや親の収入減で退学を「大いに考える」と答えた人は４．８％、「少し考える」は１５．５％だった。「辞めることにした」と回答した人も０．２％いた。
　アルバイト収入が「ゼロになった」と回答した人は２８．５％で、「減った」の３９．８％と合わせると７割近くを占めた。親など家計を支える人の収入に何らかの影響があったと答えた人は、５３．２％に達した。
　オンライン授業に関しては、８．６％が「パソコンがない」と回答。無線通信Ｗｉ―Ｆｉ（ワイファイ）の環境がない人は１０．５％だった。
　アンケートでは、「バイトがなくなり、親がタクシー運転手でほぼ仕事がなくなった」「親の収入が減り、私も働けない。学費が払えず借金が膨らむなら退学したい」などの声が寄せられたという。（2020/04/30-13:34）

A survey by a student group has revealed that 20.3 pct of students in Japan are considering dropping out of their school due to the financial fallout from the spread of the novel coronavirus.
   The student group's interim report, released on April 22, on the survey, showed that the proportion of such students came to only 7.8 pct.
   The online survey by the group, called Free, covered junior college, university and graduate students, and others. A total of 1,200 people gave answers between April 9 and Monday.
   According to the survey, 4.8 pct of respondents said they are strongly considering dropping out of school due to falls in their own income from part-time jobs or in their parents' salaries, and 15.5 pct said they are giving some consideration to the option.
   The survey also found that 0.2 pct of respondents have already decided to leave school.
