快適な老後番付、日本２３位＝極寒のアイスランド１位－仏調査

　【ロンドン時事】快適な老後を過ごすなら、南国の楽園よりも氷の国？　フランス資産運用大手ナティクシス・インベストメント・マネージャーズが公表した２０１９年版の「世界老後指数」ランキングで、北欧のアイスランドが首位となった。日本は２３位にとどまった。
　調査は先進国と新興国の４４カ国が対象。平均寿命や医療支出、政府債務の規模、さらには幸福度や大気汚染など１８項目で指数化し、順位付けした。
　２位はスイス、３位ノルウェーといずれも寒冷な気候の国が続いた。一方、最下位の４４位はインド。米国は１８位、韓国は２４位、中国は３９位だった。
　日本に関しては、平均寿命がトップとなるなど、医療・健康面では高い評価を得た。一方で、高齢者人口の比率や政府債務に対する評価は極めて低く、幸福度も低調。ナティクシスは急速な高齢化と社会保障費用・政府債務の増加の悪循環を指摘し、「人口構成の時限爆弾が音を立て続ける中、迅速に断固たる行動を取る必要がある」と日本政府に警鐘を鳴らした。
　アイスランドはいずれの調査項目でも高評価を獲得。１年のうち約６カ月間が冬で、日照時間は最短で４時間程度。厳しい寒さにも見舞われるが、老後は安心なようだ。（2019/09/28-13:50）

Japan came in 23rd in the 2019 Global Retirement Index, compiled by major French asset management firm Natixis Investment Managers, while Iceland topped the retirement security rankings of 44 developed and emerging nations.
   The rankings report, released earlier this month, is based on assessments in 18 fields, including life expectancy, health expenditures, government indebtedness, happiness and air quality.
   Japan earned high recognition in the medical and health areas, coming out top in life expectancy.
   Meanwhile, poor ratings were given to Japan regarding the country's proportion of elderly people, government debts and happiness.
   "With the demographic time bomb ticking away, it (Japan) will need to take prompt and decisive action," the report said, pointing to the problem of the rapid aging of the country's population resulting in higher social security costs and further increases in government debts.
