議員歳費２割、１年削減へ　新型コロナで自民・立憲が一致

　自民党の森山裕、立憲民主党の安住淳両国対委員長は１４日、国会内で会談し、新型コロナウイルスの感染拡大を受け、国会議員歳費を１年間、２割削減していくことで一致した。与野党は賛同する方向で、早ければ来月からの実施に向けて国会議員歳費法の改正を急ぐ。
　国会議員の歳費は同法で月額１２９万４０００円と定められている。２割減額した場合は１０３万５２００円となる。
　森山氏は記者団に「国民の苦労、企業の事情もよく理解できる。国会も国民と気持ちを一緒にすることが大事だ」と強調。安住氏も「国民の窮状を考え、われわれ自身が範を示す」と語った。
　これに先立ち、立憲など主要野党は国対委員長会談を開き、歳費を削減する方針を確認。公明党の山口那津男代表は記者会見で、日本維新の会の遠藤敬国対委員長は衆院議院運営委員会理事会で、それぞれ歳費２割削減を提案した。（2020/04/14-13:05）

Senior Japanese ruling party and opposition officials agreed Tuesday to reduce lawmakers' salaries by 20 pct for a year as part of efforts to overcome the novel coronavirus crisis.
   The accord was reached at a meeting between Hiroshi Moriyama, Diet affairs chief of the governing Liberal Democratic Party, and Jun Azumi, parliamentary affairs head of the main opposition Constitutional Democratic Party of Japan.
   Both the ruling and opposition sides are expected to agree with the plan. They are likely to step up efforts to amend a law on lawmakers' salaries to start the reduction as early as next month.
   Under the law, the members of both chambers of the Diet, Japan's parliament, are paid 1,294,000 yen a month. A 20 pct cut would lower the amount to 1,035,200 yen.
   "We can very well understand difficulties the public is facing and the circumstances companies are in," Moriyama told reporters, saying that it is important that lawmakers and the people come together to deal with the virus crisis.
