関電会長ら３．２億円受領＝福井・高浜町元助役から－「原発マネー」還流か

　関西電力の岩根茂樹社長は２７日、大阪市の関電本店で記者会見し、八木誠会長を含む経営幹部の２０人が、私的に計３億２０００万円分の金品を受け取っていたことを明らかにした。関係者によると、資金提供は金沢国税局の税務調査で判明。福井県高浜町の元助役（死亡）が原発関連工事に絡んで得た資金などを７年にわたり提供していたとされ、「原発マネー」が関電側に還流していた疑いがある。
　岩根社長は「関係者や社会の皆さまに多大なご心配をお掛けし、深くおわび申し上げます」と陳謝。自身も社長就任時に「お祝い」として高価な物品を受け取ったことを認めたが、「トップとして経営責任を果たしたい」と辞任は否定した。
　関係者によると、金沢国税局が昨年、関電の原発関連工事を請け負う高浜町の建設会社の税務調査を行った際、同町の森山栄治元助役（今年３月に死亡）が約３億円を受領していたことが分かった。森山氏は工事受注に絡み、手数料として受け取っていた。
　その後、森山氏から関電の役員側への資金提供が判明。会長ら６人は２０１７年までの７年間で計約１億８０００万円を受け取った。一部は森山氏の存命中に返却したという。森山氏は約３億円について、金沢国税局から申告漏れを指摘され、追徴課税された。
　一方、岩根社長によると、社内調査の結果、役員や社員の計２０人が金品の提供を受けていた。金品などは「一時的に預かっていたが、一般的な儀礼の範囲内以外のものは全て返却した」と釈明。幹部らが受領した理由について、「（相手との）関係を維持しながら事業運営をしていくには、あまり強引に（返却）しない方がいいと判断した」とも述べた。
　森山氏は１９６９年１２月に高浜町入りし、総括課長などを務めた後、７７年から８７年まで助役を務めた。（2019/09/27-13:31）

Kansai Electric Power Co. President Shigeki Iwane said Friday that 20 executives of the company, including Chairman Makoto Yagi, received money and goods worth 320 million yen privately from a former deputy mayor of the central Japan town that hosts the firm's Takahama nuclear power station.
   The distribution of the money and goods was detected partly through an inspection by a regional tax bureau, informed sources said.
   Eiji Moriyama, the late deputy mayor of the town of Takahama, Fukui Prefecture, is believed to have used funds he had received chiefly in connection with nuclear plant construction as resources for the money and goods provided to the Kansai Electric executives, the sources said.
   "I'm deeply sorry for causing a lot of worry among the people concerned and the public," Iwane said at a press conference held at the firm's head office in the western Japan city of Osaka.
   Iwane admitted that he himself received a luxury item as a gift when he became Kansai Electric president. But he denied any intention to resign, saying, "I want to fulfill my responsibility as the leader of the company."
