首相、野党へ協力要請　衆院選大敗、政権不安定に―立民躍進、駆け引き激化【２４衆院選】

　第５０回衆院選は２８日、定数４６５の全議席が確定し、自民、公明両党は過半数（２３３）を割り込んだ。石破茂首相（自民総裁）は基盤安定のため、野党に協力を要請するなど、政権の枠組み拡大を模索。一方、躍進した立憲民主党の野田佳彦代表も、１１月召集の特別国会で首相指名選挙の勝利を目指しており、与野党の駆け引きが激化しそうだ。
　首相は２８日、党本部で記者会見し、衆院選について「極めて厳しい審判をもらった。自公の有為な方を多く失ったことは痛恨の極みだ」と陳謝。その上で「国政は一時たりとも停滞が許されない」として続投する意向を重ねて表明した。
　政権の枠組みに関し、首相は国民民主党や日本維新の会を念頭に、政策ごとの連携を目指す考えとみられる。会見では、物価高を踏まえた総合経済対策に触れ、「党派を超えて優れた方策を採り入れる」と強調。同時に「この時点で連立は想定していない」と述べ、連立自体の拡大には慎重な姿勢を示した。
　派閥裏金事件に関与して非公認となった当選者の追加公認も視野に入れる。「有権者の審判は極めて重い」としつつ、「広く国民の理解をもらえるかを基準に判断する」と述べた。
　首相は２８日、党本部で臨時役員会に臨み、政権の立て直しを急ぐ方針を確認した。ただ、小泉進次郎選対委員長が衆院選敗北の責任を取って辞任。一部で首相の退陣を求める声も上がっている。
　首相は会見に先立ち、公明の石井啓一代表と国会内で会談した。裏金事件を受けて論点となっている政策活動費について、将来的な廃止も念頭に置いた議論を明記した政策合意に署名。政権維持についても協議した。
　衆院選を巡り、首相は勝敗ラインを「与党で過半数」と設定したが、自民は公示前の２５６議席から１９１議席に大幅減。公明も石井氏が落選するなど８減の２４議席だった。
　これに対し、立民は公示前から５０増の１４８議席と伸長した。国民は４倍の２８議席、れいわ新選組は３倍の９議席。維新は５減の３８議席、共産党は２減の８議席にとどまったが、野党全体では与党と「伯仲」（立民幹部）の状況になった。（2024/10/28-19:57）

Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba said Monday that he and his ruling Liberal Democratic Party received an "extremely harsh judgment" from the electorate in the country's general election Sunday.
   But Ishiba, who doubles as LDP president, declared his intention to continue as prime minister, saying that "a standstill in national politics cannot be allowed in the severe security and economic environment."
   In the closely watched election, the LDP lost its single-party majority in the 465-seat House of Representatives, apparently due to public outcry over the high-profile slush funds scandal at the party. In addition, the party and its coalition partner Komeito were unable to maintain their combined majority in the all-important lower chamber of the Diet, the Japanese parliament.
   "We are not expecting a coalition (with more parties) at this point," the prime minister said of the possibility of expanding the ruling bloc to regain a majority. "We have to start with extensive discussions (with other parties)."
   Ishiba said that "the biggest problem" for him and the LDP is that the public's anger over the issue of "politics and money" has yet to be dispelled, referring to the slush funds scandal and other matters regarding political funds.
