６月消費支出１．４％減　２カ月連続マイナス、電気・ガス節約―総務省

　総務省が６日発表した６月の家計調査によると、１世帯（２人以上）当たりの消費支出は２８万８８８円で、物価変動の影響を除いた実質で前年同月比１．４％減少した。マイナスは２カ月連続。５月使用分（６月請求分）の電気・ガスへの政府による負担軽減策が縮小。使用量を節約する動きにつながり、光熱・水道の支出が減少したことなどが影響した。
　勤労者世帯の実収入は３．１％増と２カ月連続で増加したが、物価高や先行きの不透明感から「貯蓄に回っている」（同省担当者）といい、消費の不振が続いている。（2024/08/06-11:29）

Spending by households with two or more members averaged 280,888 yen in Japan in June, down 1.4 pct from a year earlier in inflation-adjusted real terms, the internal affairs ministry said Tuesday.
   Behind the decline was a reduction from May in government subsidies to ease the financial burdens arising from the use of electricity and gas. The reduction, reflected in bills from June, led households to save electricity and gas, causing a decline in utility spending.
   The average income at wage-earning households rose 3.1 pct. But household spending remained weak because many people saved money for the future due to persisting inflation and uncertain outlooks, a ministry official said.
   By category, spending on electricity and gas decreased 9.1 pct and 5.8 pct, respectively. Home-related expenditure fell 23.6 pct after costs for repair after typhoon and rain disasters ballooned a year earlier.
   Spending on mobile communications slid 12.4 pct as low-rate plans grew popular. Vehicle purchase spending declined 6.1 pct because of production and shipment suspensions due to test fraud scandals at Daihatsu Motor Co., Toyota Motor Corp. and others.
