イオン、純利益７割減　人件費増加が影響―２４年３～５月期

　イオンが１２日発表した２０２４年３～５月期の連結決算は、純利益が前年同期比７１．１％減の５１億２５００万円だった。賃上げに伴う人件費の増加が利益を圧迫。主力の総合スーパー事業は同期として３年ぶりの赤字に転落した。
　総合スーパーの営業赤字は約３４億円。プライベートブランド（ＰＢ）商品の値下げや増量キャンペーンで客足は伸びたものの、人件費の増加分をカバーできなかった。また、食品スーパーの営業利益は４１．４％減、ドラッグストアも２５．４％減と伸び悩んだ。（2024/07/12-23:21）

Japanese retail giant Aeon Co. said Friday that its consolidated net profit slumped 71.1 pct from a year earlier to 5,125 million yen in the first quarter of the year through February 2025, weighed down by its wage hikes and price cuts.
Its mainstay general merchandise store business logged an operating loss of 3.4 billion yen, suffering the first March-May red ink in three years. Price cuts for private-label goods, as well as a campaign to increase product volume, helped attract more visitors, but lowered profit margins.
