感染死者７人に　函館と都内の高齢者―クルーズ下船２人陽性・新型ウイルス

　北海道の鈴木直道知事は２６日、函館市に住む高齢者が２５日に死亡し、死亡後に新型コロナウイルス感染が分かったことを明らかにした。厚生労働省も、新型ウイルスに感染した東京都内の８０代男性が２６日に死亡したと発表した。
　国内で確認された感染者の死亡は、集団感染が起きたクルーズ船「ダイヤモンド・プリンセス」の乗客４人を含め７人目で、道内では初めて。
　函館市は、死亡した高齢者の性別や年齢について、「家族の意向」として明らかにしていない。市によると、２５日にウイルス性肺炎で死亡し、翌日に新型ウイルス陽性と判明した。都によると、８０代男性は糖尿病の持病があり、１８日に感染が判明した。死因は肺炎とみられ、感染経路は不明という。
　北海道では新ひだか町の７０代女性２人と、札幌市に出張中だった大阪府の４０代男性会社員の感染が新たに確認され、道内の感染者は３９人となった。
　千葉県は、クルーズ船から下船した乗客２人の感染を発表。船内待機後の下船者で感染が確認されたのは計４人となった。災害派遣精神医療チーム（ＤＰＡＴ）として乗船した医師１人の感染も確認された。
　このほか、２６日に感染が判明したのは、東京都内の７０、８０代の男性３人▽感染したＪＲ東日本の相模原駅員の同僚の６０代男性▽長野県で初めて確認された６０代男性の５０代の妻▽名古屋市の５０～７０代の男女５人▽岐阜県で初となる５０代男性。（2020/02/26-22:23）

COVID-19 coronavirus infection has been confirmed for an elderly person who died on Tuesday in the northern Japan city of Hakodate, Hokkaido, prefectural Governor Naomichi Suzuki said Wednesday.
   It was the first fatal COVID-19 case in Hokkaido and the second in Japan, other than four deaths among former passengers of the Diamond Princess cruise ship quarantined in Kanagawa Prefecture, near Tokyo.
   According to Hakodate city government, the elderly person showed the symptom of coughing Feb. 16 and was admitted to a medical institution the following day.
   The patient died of viral pneumonia Tuesday, and his positive test result for the coronavirus became available Wednesday.
   The Hakodate government declined to disclose details of the latest fatality, citing the bereaved family's wishes.
