「ロマンス詐欺」で薬物密輸　容疑でナイジェリア人逮捕―警視庁

　ＳＮＳで女性を装い、親密な関係になった男性を受取人にして覚醒剤を密輸したとして、警視庁と岡山県警の合同捜査本部は２５日までに、覚醒剤取締法違反（営利目的輸入）容疑で、ナイジェリア国籍の飲食店店長オゾ・チブゾール・クリス容疑者（４１）＝東京都世田谷区尾山台＝を逮捕した。同庁薬物銃器対策課は認否を明らかにしていない。
　同課によると、オゾ容疑者のグループは２０２０年１０月、英国人女性を装い、ＳＮＳで岡山県の６０代男性に接触。１年近くメッセージを交換して親密になったところで、「横浜へ荷物を取りに行ってほしい」と依頼していた。やりとりはいずれもＳＮＳやメールで、実際に声を聞いたり、会ったりしたことはなかった。
　逮捕容疑は２１年９月、英国から覚醒剤約１５．９キロ（末端価格約９億５７００万円相当）を船舶のコンテナに隠して密輸した疑い。
　男性は中身が覚醒剤と知らずに、「彼女のため」と受け取りを了承したが、その後、自身の健康問題などを理由に受け取りを拒否した。
　男性宛ての他の荷物への捜査の中で、今回のコンテナが浮上。横浜市の岸壁で税関職員が検査し発覚した。（2024/04/25-16:58）

Japanese police have arrested a Nigerian man for allegedly smuggling 15.9 kilograms of stimulant drugs worth about 957 million yen from Britain in September 2021, using his Japanese romance scam victim.
   The joint investigation headquarters of Tokyo's Metropolitan Police Department and the prefectural police department of Okayama, western Japan, arrested Ozo Chibuzor Chris, a Nigerian restaurant manager and resident of Tokyo's Setagaya Ward, on suspicion of violating the stimulant drugs control law.
   The MPD did not disclose whether the suspect admitted to the allegation.
   According to the MPD, the suspect's group pretended to be a British woman and contacted the Japanese man, who is in his 60s and lives in Okayama, on social media in October 2020. After exchanging messages for nearly a year, the group asked the Japanese man to go to Yokohama, south of Tokyo, to pick up luggage.
   The Japanese man agreed to receive it for "her," not knowing that the content was stimulant drugs. But he later refused to receive it, citing his health problems.
