事態沈静化へ働き掛け　官房長官

　林芳正官房長官は１５日の記者会見で、イスラエルに攻撃をしたイランに対し、事態の沈静化に向けて「ハイレベルでのさらなる働き掛け」を行う考えを示した。イスラエルと意思疎通を図る方針も明らかにした。
　現地の在留邦人の安否に関しては「これまでのところ被害情報には接していない」と説明。引き続き、邦人の保護に万全を期すことを強調した。（2024/04/15-12:16）

Japan Wants Iran to Calm Middle East Tension

Japan will make further efforts through high-level talks to encourage Iran to calm the tension in the Middle East that has intensified following its attack on Israel, Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi said Monday.
Japan also plans to communicate with Israel, the top government spokesman said at a press conference.
There has been no information about damage to Japanese nationals, he added, stressing that Japan will take all possible measures to protect Japanese citizens.
