クルーズ船の男性死亡　８０代、３人目―新型コロナウイルス感染か非公表・厚労省

　厚生労働省は２３日、新型コロナウイルスの集団感染が発生したクルーズ船「ダイヤモンド・プリンセス」に乗っていた８０代の日本人男性が同日に死亡したと発表した。同船の乗客乗員の死亡者は３人目。同省は、遺族の了解が得られていないことを理由に、男性の同ウイルス感染の有無を明らかにしていない。
　同省によると、男性には基礎疾患があった。５日以降に症状がある患者として医療機関に搬送された。死因は肺炎だった。同省は、男性が乗客か乗員かも公表していない。
　クルーズ船をめぐっては、感染が確認された日本人乗客の男女２人が２０日に死亡している。２人は神奈川県の男性（８７）と東京都の女性（８４）で、２人とも発熱が続いたため医療機関に搬送されたが、死亡した。男性の死因は、国内で初めて「新型コロナウイルス感染症」と特定されていた。
　国内ではこのほか、新型ウイルスに感染した神奈川県の８０代の日本人女性が、１３日に死亡している。
　クルーズ船は３日に横浜へ入港。その後、発熱などの症状のある人は医療機関へ搬送され、ない人は船内待機を続けていた。２３日時点で、搬送された人のうち日本人２０人を含む３６人が重症となっている。全員が新型ウイルス陽性という。
　厚労省によると、クルーズ船で２３日までに新たに乗客２人、乗員５５人の新型ウイルス陽性が確認された。感染者は計６９１人になった。（2020/02/23-22:05）

3rd Person from Coronavirus-Hit Cruise Ship Dies

A Japanese man in his 80s who was previously aboard the coronavirus-hit cruise ship Diamond Princess died of pneumonia on Sunday, the health ministry said the same day.
   He is the third fatal case among those who were previously aboard the ship, quarantined at the port of Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, south of Tokyo.
   The ministry did not reveal whether he had been infected with the COVID-19 coronavirus originating in China, due to the absence of consent from his family.
   The man had a chronic disease, according to the ministry. He was taken to a hospital on Feb. 5 or later due to a symptom.
   The ministry declined to say whether the man was a passenger or a crew member of the ship.
