スカイツリーの防災設備公開　関東大震災１００年―東京

　関東大震災から９月で１００年となるのを前に、東京スカイツリー（東京都墨田区）の防災設備が１日、報道陣に公開された。
　高さが６３４メートルあるスカイツリーの２６０メートル地点には、区内のほぼ全域が見渡せるよう東西に計２台の防災カメラが設置されている。火災や水難事故が起きた時、区役所や東京消防庁にリアルタイムで映像を送ることができるという。
　ツリーの中央部にあり、制振システムで地震の揺れを最大５０％低減できる「心柱」も公開された。災害発生時に来場者らが帰宅困難になった場合を想定し、区は３０００人分の水や食料、毛布などを備蓄。区役所が被災した際に災害対策本部機能を移すことが可能な「危機管理ベース」には、防災カメラの映像を確認できる大型モニターが設置されていた。（2023/08/01-18:13）

The disaster management functions of Tokyo Skytree in the Japanese capital's Sumida Ward were unveiled to the media on Tuesday, ahead of the 100th anniversary of the Great Kanto Earthquake that struck Tokyo and surrounding areas in September 1923.
   The 634-meter tower has two disaster management cameras at a point 260 meters above the ground. The cameras are installed on the east and west sides of the tower to provide a view of the entire ward.
   In the event of a fire or a water disaster, images from the cameras can be sent to the ward office and the Tokyo Fire Department in real time.
   In the center of the tower is a pillar that can reduce shaking from an earthquake by up to 50 pct.
   Emergency supplies, including food, water and blankets for 3,000 people, are stored in the tower in case visitors are unable to return home due to a disaster.
