神父を書類送検　信徒に強制わいせつ容疑―長崎県警

　カトリック信徒の女性が性的被害を訴えている問題で、長崎県警は３日、強制わいせつ容疑で、長崎大司教区の神父（４４）を書類送検した。複数の関係者への取材で分かった。
　送検容疑は２０１８年５月、自身が司祭を務める県内の教会で、女性に抱き付いたり、体を無理やり触ったりするなど、わいせつな行為をした疑い。
　大司教区は同年８月、神父を聖職停止としたが、信徒には処分を公表せず、捜査中であることを理由に、バチカン（教皇庁）にも報告しなかった。カトリック中央協議会によると、聖職停止処分をした場合、直ちにバチカンに報告する必要があり、関係者は「事実上の隠蔽（いんぺい）行為だ」と批判している。
　関係者によると、神父は当時、酒に酔っていたという。女性は心的外傷後ストレス障害（ＰＴＳＤ）と診断された。仕事を続けられなくなり、長期の入院も余儀なくされた。（2020/02/03-19:56）

Prosecutors to Examine Nagasaki Catholic Priest's Indecency

Police on Monday sent prosecutors papers on alleged forced indecency by a priest of the Archdiocese of Nagasaki, informed sources said.
   The 44-year-old priest is suspected of hugging a female Catholic and touching her body against her will at his church in Nagasaki Prefecture, southwestern Japan, in May 2018, the sources said.
   The archdiocese suspended the priest in August that year but did not disclose the move to followers of the church.
   It did not report the matter to the Vatican on the grounds that police investigations were under way.
   According to the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Japan, such punishment of a priest must be reported immediately to the Vatican.
