安倍首相に改善要請「何度も」　ゴーン被告処遇めぐり―仏大統領

　【パリ時事】フランスのマクロン大統領は１５日、レバノンへ逃亡中の日産自動車の前会長カルロス・ゴーン被告に関し、「勾留や取り調べ中の状況は満足できるものではないと思うと安倍（晋三）首相に何度も伝えた」と語り、処遇の改善を要請していたことを明らかにした。新年の記者会見で質問に答えた。
　マクロン氏は「全てのフランス国民が、彼らの享受すべき公平さをもって扱われることを願う」と強調。一方でゴーン被告の逃亡については「コメントすることはない」と述べるにとどめた。
　ゴーン被告は８日にベイルートで行った記者会見で、弁護士の同席なしに１日最長８時間の事情聴取を受けたと訴えた。仏メディアはこれまで、長期にわたる勾留や取り調べに弁護士が同席できない点などを挙げ、日本の司法制度に批判的な見解を示している。（2020/01/16-07:44）

Macron Repeatedly Asked Abe to Improve Ghosn's Treatment

French President Emmanuel Macron said Wednesday that he had repeatedly asked Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to improve the treatment of former Nissan Motor Co. Chairman Carlos Ghosn while in custody.
   At a press conference in Paris, Macron said that he had repeatedly told Abe that the conditions of Ghosn's detention and interrogation are not satisfying.
   Macron said he hopes that all French people will be treated with the fairness they deserve.
   Ghosn, who has French, Brazilian and Lebanese citizenship, was arrested in Tokyo in November 2018 and charged with financial misconduct.
   Late last month, he fled Japan to Lebanon while out on bail awaiting trial.
