民間月着陸機、２８日打ち上げ　ベンチャー開発、米ロケットで

　宇宙ベンチャー企業アイスペース（東京）は１７日、同社が開発した初の月着陸機を、今月２８日午後５時４６分（日本時間）に米フロリダ州のケープカナベラル宇宙軍基地から、スペースＸ社のファルコン９ロケットで打ち上げると発表した。約４カ月半かけて月に向かい、来年４月末ごろの月面着陸を目指す。
　着陸機は、同社の月面探査プロジェクト「ＨＡＫＵＴＯ（ハクト）―Ｒ」の一環で、高さ約２．３メートル、幅約２．６メートル（着陸用の脚展開時）、重さ約３４０キロ。３０キロの貨物搭載が可能で、今回の初飛行では宇宙航空研究開発機構（ＪＡＸＡ）とタカラトミーなどが開発した小型変形月面探査ロボットやアラブ首長国連邦の月面探査車などを搭載する。
　同社は、２０２４年に独自の月面探査車を乗せた着陸機、２５年までに大型の着陸機の打ち上げを計画。月面への商業輸送サービスの事業化を目指す。（2022/11/17-17:03）

Japanese space exploration startup ispace Inc. has said that its first lunar lander will be launched aboard a U.S. rocket Nov. 28.
   The Tokyo-based company aims to put the lander, to be launched as part of its Hakuto-R lunar exploration program, on the moon around the end of next April.
   The 340-kilogram lander, 2.3 meters high and 2.6 meters wide when its legs for landing are deployed, will be transported on the SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, set to lift off from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in the U.S. state of Florida at 8:46 a.m. GMT Nov. 28, ispace said Thursday.
   The lander, which can carry up to 30 kilograms of payloads, is slated to send to the moon a transformable robot for lunar surface exploration developed mainly by the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, or JAXA, and toy maker Tomy Co. , as well as a lunar rover of the United Arab Emirates.
   Ispace also plans to launch another moon lander carrying the company's own rover in 2024 and a large lander by 2025, aiming to realize a commercial service to transport goods to the surface of the moon.
