４空港で荷物検査義務化　ゴーン被告逃亡で―赤羽国交相

　日産自動車の前会長カルロス・ゴーン被告（６５）がレバノンに逃亡した事件を受け、赤羽一嘉国土交通相は７日の定例会見で、羽田や関西など国内４空港で６日から、プライベートジェット（ＰＪ）でも一定の大きさの荷物は保安検査を実施するよう義務付ける通達を出したと明らかにした。
　従来、ＰＪの荷物は機長が必要と判断した場合のみ保安検査をしており、義務化されていなかった。ゴーン被告は関西空港からＰＪで出国する際、箱に隠れて検査を受けなかった可能性が浮上している。（2020/01/07-12:42）

Transport minister Kazuyoshi Akaba said Tuesday his ministry has ordered four international airports in Japan to conduct safety inspections of luggage of a certain size of departing private jet travelers.
   The directive, which took effect on Monday, was issued after the escape of ousted Nissan Motor Co. Chairman Carlos Ghosn from Japan.
   Previously, inspections of luggage to be loaded on private jets were not obligated and were conducted only when pilots wanted them done.
   It is believed that Ghosn, 65, who fled to Lebanon in late December, hid himself in a box, escaped a security check at Kansai International Airport in the western prefecture of Osaka and boarded a private jet afterward.
   The transport ministry's decision came at the request of the Immigration Services Agency of Japan.
