安倍氏国葬「説明続ける」　銃撃検証、警備体制立て直し―岸田首相

　岸田文雄首相は１０日の記者会見で、銃撃を受け死亡した安倍晋三元首相の「国葬」に対する賛否が割れていることに関し、「今後さまざまな機会を通じて丁寧に説明を続けていきたい」と強調した。「事件をしっかり検証し、警備体制を立て直す必要がある」との考えも示した。
　首相は「国際社会がさまざまな形で弔意や敬意を示している」と実施の妥当性を力説。国民の理解を得るために「規模や内容もしっかり明らかにしたい」と述べた。
　世界平和統一家庭連合（旧統一教会）と自身の関係については「知り得る限り、当該団体と関係がない」と改めて説明。自民党の政策決定への影響も否定した。
　改造内閣の最優先課題として、「新型コロナウイルスを乗り越えて持続可能な経済・社会をつくり上げる」ことと、「ポスト冷戦期の次の時代の国際秩序をつくり上げる」ことを挙げた。２０２２年度第２次補正予算案の編成については「状況を見極めた上で判断したい」と述べるにとどめた。
　新型コロナをめぐり、首相は「『第７波』の荒波から感染者数が減少に転じる地域が出てきている」と分析。感染症法上の位置付け見直しなど「新たな段階への移行を時機を逸することなく進める」と強調した。
　一方、台湾情勢の緊迫化を受け、中国に対して「しっかり意思疎通を図ることが重要だ。対話は常にオープンだ」と主張した。（2022/08/10-20:33）

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said Wednesday that he will continue explaining to the public his government's plan to hold a state funeral for former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, which is dividing public opinion in the country.
   "I will continue carefully explaining (the state funeral plan) at various opportunities," Kishida told a press conference following the launch of his new cabinet.
   Kishida noted that over the death of Abe, condolences and respect have been expressed in various forms from the international community, indicating that holding a state funeral for him is appropriate.
   Meanwhile, Kishida reiterated his denial of any links between him and the Unification Church, which came into the spotlight following the assassination of Abe as the suspect reportedly had grudges against the religious group and believed that Abe had ties with the group.
   He also denied that the Unification Church had influenced the policy-making process of his ruling Liberal Democratic Party.
