ＪＤＩ、白山工場売却へ　数百億円、シャープと交渉―液晶の主力拠点

　経営再建中の中小型液晶大手ジャパンディスプレイ（ＪＤＩ）が、主力の白山工場（石川県白山市）をシャープに売却する方向で交渉に入ったことが２７日、分かった。売却額は数百億円規模とみられる。最大の顧客である米ＩＴ大手アップル向けに液晶パネルを生産する主力拠点だったが、需要が低迷し稼働を停止していた。ＪＤＩは工場売却で固定費を削減し、資金繰りを改善させる考え。
　シャープはアップルと共同で取得費用を負担する見通し。ＪＤＩは今後、シャープのほか、同社の親会社台湾・鴻海（ホンハイ）精密工業、アップルを交えて協議を本格化し、来年３月までの売却を目指す。（2019/12/27-11:42）

Japan Display in Talks to Sell Key Plant to Sharp

Japan Display Inc. , a struggling maker of small and midsize liquid crystal display panels, is in talks to sell its mainstay plant in the city of Hakusan, Ishikawa Prefecture, central Japan, to major electronics maker Sharp Corp. , it was learned Friday.
LCD panels for U.S. technology giant Apple Inc., JDI's largest customer, were manufactured at the Hakusan Plant. JDI suspended the plant's operations in July amid sluggish demand and had been exploring ways to utilize the facility.
