早期解散、より困難に　ＩＲ汚職拡大に危機感―自民

　カジノを含む統合型リゾート（ＩＲ）事業に絡む汚職事件で衆院議員の秋元司容疑者（自民党離党）が逮捕され、自民党内で早期の衆院解散・総選挙が一層困難になったとの見方が強まった。東京地検特捜部の捜査対象が拡大することへの危機感もあり、同党は捜査の行方に気をもんでいる。
　逮捕から一夜明けた２６日、自民党幹部は「解散は当分ない」と明言した。今後の政権運営については「仕切り直しだ。いろんな想定が狂った」と述べ、事件の影響が多方面に及ぶことへの不安をにじませた。
　首相主催「桜を見る会」問題で内閣支持率は下落傾向にあり、与党内では来年１月召集の通常国会冒頭での解散に否定的な声が強まっていた。今回の事件を受け、「解散なんてできっこない。もう安倍晋三首相の時にやるとは思わない」（党関係者）との見方も出ている。
　特捜部は自民党の白須賀貴樹衆院議員らの事務所も家宅捜索。贈賄容疑で逮捕された紺野昌彦容疑者は多くの同党若手議員と交流があったとされ、党内には捜査の手がさらに広がるとの懸念もある。党関係者は「疑惑の総合商社だ」と自嘲気味に語った。
　秋元容疑者の進退も焦点。野党は議員辞職を求めており、仮に辞職となれば来年４月にも衆院東京１５区補欠選挙が行われる。ただ、自民党内では議員を辞めないとの見方がもっぱらで、党幹部は「辞職したら不正を認めたことになる。解散まで議員を続けるだろう」と語った。
　野党は捜査をにらみつつ、国会で徹底追及する方針だ。立憲民主党の枝野幸男代表は２６日の記者会見で「安倍内閣の副大臣としての職務権限に基づく疑獄事件だ。首相や菅義偉官房長官が明確に見解を示すべきだ」と強調した。疑惑隠しを狙った早期解散もあり得るとみており、「きょうの時点でも（来年）２月総選挙のつもりで構えている」と語った。（2019/12/27-07:16）

Japanese ruling party members now believe that Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is even less likely to call a general election anytime soon, following the arrest of a former state minister for alleged bribery.
   The House of Representatives, the all-important lower chamber of parliament, "won't be dissolved for a snap election for the time being," a senior member of Abe's Liberal Democratic Party said Thursday, a day after Lower House member Tsukasa Akimoto was apprehended. Akimoto left the LDP after his arrest.
   The arrest of Akimoto came as an additional blow to the Abe cabinet, whose approval ratings are falling amid mounting doubts about an annual publicly funded cherry blossom-viewing party that has been attended by many supporters of Abe, among celebrity and other guests.
   The cherry party scandal seems to have already diminished the possibility of Abe breaking up the Lower House at the beginning of an ordinary parliamentary session that is expected to be convened in January.
   LDP lawmakers are worried that public prosecutors could expand their investigation on the corruption case.
