３歳女児の死亡確認　知床観光船事故、死者１１人に―運航会社の捜査検討・北海道

　北海道・知床半島沖で観光船「ＫＡＺＵ　I（カズワン）」（１９トン）が浸水した事故で、第１管区海上保安本部（小樽市）は２５日、新たに発見した子ども１人の死亡を確認したと発表した。乗船者２６人のうち、死者は１１人となった。同本部などが範囲を広げて１５人を捜索している。
　同本部は同日夜、１１人のうち子どもを含む３人の身元を確認した。３人は、河口洋介さん（４０）＝香川県丸亀市＝▽※島優さん（※は木ヘンに勝の旧字体、３４）＝千葉県松戸市＝▽加藤七菜子ちゃん（３）＝東京都葛飾区＝。
　同本部によると、七菜子ちゃんは２４日午後１１時１０分、知床岬灯台から東約１４．５キロの海上で巡視船によって救助され、その後死亡が確認された。搬送時意識はなかったという。他の１０人（男性７人、女性３人）は２４日、知床岬先端付近の海上や岩場で見つかった。
　同本部などは２５日も巡視船や航空機を使って捜索。船体は沈没した可能性が高く、ソナー（水中音波探知機）を活用し海中も捜している。同本部はこの日、乗客家族らへの説明会を３回開き、捜索状況などを説明した。２６日以降、捜索範囲がロシアが実効支配する海域に拡大する可能性があり、海上保安庁はロシア側に通知し、了承を得た。
　観光船は「知床遊覧船」（斜里町）が運航。昨年も２回事故を起こし、豊田徳幸船長（５４）＝同町＝は昨年６月の座礁事故に関し業務上過失往来危険容疑で書類送検されていた。同本部は今回の事故について、業務上過失致死や業務上過失往来危険容疑などでの捜査を検討している。（2022/04/25-23:35）

One child has been newly found after a tour boat took in water off the northern Japan prefecture of Hokkaido Saturday, coast guard officials said Monday.
   Of the 26 people on board, 10 people were found near Cape Shiretoko and all of them were confirmed dead on Sunday.
   The First Regional Coast Guard Headquarters, based in the Hokkaido city of Otaru, and others will continue the search Monday for the remaining 15 people, using patrol vessels and aircraft.
   A sonar is being used in the search efforts as the 19-ton sightseeing boat Kazu I is highly likely to have sunk.
   The child was found unconscious by a patrol vessel in waters some 14.5 kilometers east of a lighthouse at Cape Shiretoko around 11:10 p.m. Sunday (2:10 p.m. GMT), according to the regional coast guard headquarters. Whether the child is a boy or girl is unknown.
