ＩＡＥＡ調査団が来日　処理水放出の安全性検証―東電福島第１原発

　東京電力福島第１原発から出る放射性物質トリチウムを含む処理水の海洋放出をめぐり、国際原子力機関（ＩＡＥＡ）の調査団が来日し、１４日に安全性検証のための調査を開始した。同日は経済産業省を訪問して意見交換。ＩＡＥＡは調査を踏まえて放出の安全性を検証し、年内に中間報告をまとめる方針だ。
　海洋放出については、国内外で安全性や風評被害への懸念が出ている。意見交換では、カルーソＩＡＥＡ原子力安全局調整官が「調査団は国境を越え透明性のあるメッセージを送る。世界中から集まった専門家が調査を客観的、科学的に行う」と強調。政府側は、調査団の助言を放出の安全管理に反映させる方針を示した。（2022/02/14-11:45）

A team of officials from the International Atomic Energy Agency on Monday started investigating the safety of the planned release into the sea of treated water containing radioactive tritium from the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear power plant in Japan.
   It is the first visit by an IAEA team over the treated water release from the Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings Inc. plant in Fukushima Prefecture, the site of the 2011 triple reactor meltdown.
   The IAEA team met with officials of the Japanese industry ministry on the first day Monday of the five-day investigation until Friday.
   Gustavo Caruso, director and coordinator for the IAEA's Department of Nuclear Safety and Security, said the investigation is "carried out in objective, credible and science-based manner and help send a message of transparency and confidence to the people in Japan and beyond."
   The Japanese officials said that they will use advice from the IAEA team for the safety of the water release.
