新幹線殺傷、男に無期懲役求刑　「身勝手で反省せず」―横浜地裁支部

　神奈川県内を走行する東海道新幹線の車内で昨年６月、乗客の男女３人を殺傷したとして殺人などの罪に問われた無職小島一朗被告（２３）の裁判員裁判の論告求刑公判が９日、横浜地裁小田原支部（佐脇有紀裁判長）であり、検察側は無期懲役を求刑した。
　弁護側の最終弁論も同日行われ、結審。判決は１８日に言い渡される。
　論告で検察側は、祖母の言葉を曲解して一生刑務所に入りたいと考え、無差別殺人を計画した動機について「身勝手で到底酌量の余地がない」と指摘。殺傷の状況もむごたらしく、反省もしていないと非難した。
　一方で、小島被告の成育歴や、精神鑑定で「猜疑（さいぎ）性パーソナリティー障害」と診断された点を挙げ、事件を起こした背景に同障害の可能性も否定できないと言及。「真に極刑がやむを得ないとは言い切れない」と述べた。
　起訴状などによると、被告は昨年６月９日夜、新横浜―小田原間を走行する「のぞみ２６５号」の車内で、近くの席にいた女性２人をなたで切り付け重軽傷を負わせ、制止しようとした兵庫県尼崎市の会社員梅田耕太郎さん＝当時（３８）＝を殺害したとされる。（2019/12/09-12:55）

Public prosecutors sought an indefinite prison term on Monday for a 23-year-old unemployed man for killing or injuring three passengers with a hatchet on a Tokaido Shinkansen bullet train in June last year.
   The lay judge trial for the suspect, Ichiro Kojima, at Yokohama District Court's branch in the city of Odawara, Kanagawa Prefecture, south of Tokyo, concluded after the defense side also made a final appeal. A ruling will be handed down on Dec. 18.
   During the hearing, the prosecutors' side said his motive for the indiscriminate murder, in order to be imprisoned for the rest of his life, was derived from misconstruing his grandmother's words. This was "selfish and there is no margin for leniency," the prosecution said.
   The scene of the murder was brutal and Kojima has no regrets about the crime, the prosecutors said.
   Meanwhile, the prosecutors, citing the bringing up of the suspect and a psychiatric test diagnosis of paranoid personality disorder, said the possibility cannot be ruled out that the disorder may have been behind the attack.
