ＪＲ東京駅で探知犬実験　五輪・パラの危険物対策―国交省

　国土交通省は４日、ＪＲ東京駅（東京都千代田区）で、利用者の手荷物などを想定した探知犬による危険物判定実験を行った。２０２０年夏の東京五輪・パラリンピック開催時、探知犬の活用は首都圏主要駅の対テロ対策として検討対象になっているが、実験では実効性などに課題も浮かび上がった。
　今回投入された探知犬はラブラドール・レトリバーとビーグルの２頭。手荷物の臭いから危険物と判断した場合、その場に座る想定だったが、実際には判断に時間がかかった。特にビーグルは、引率する訓練士にじゃれつくなど落ち着かない様子だった。（2019/12/04-16:07）

Japan's transport ministry conducted a test to introduce detection dogs to sniff out dangerous materials carried by train passengers, at Tokyo Station on Wednesday, ahead of the 2020 Olympics and Paralympics in the Japanese capital.
   The introduction of detection dogs is being considered as a measure to fight terrorism at major stations in the Tokyo metropolitan area.
   But the trial highlighted problems with the measure, raising questions about its effectiveness.
   In the trial, featuring a Labrador retriever and a beagle, the sniffer dogs were supposed to sit and stay on the spot when they detect dangerous substances by smell, but they failed to take the required actions quickly enough.
   Especially, the beagle seemed restless, seeking attention from a trainer.
