伊藤忠、オーストラリアの石炭権益を売却 脱炭素社会へ貢献
伊藤忠商事の石井敬太社長は５日の決算発表記者会見で、オーストラリアで主に発電用石炭（一般炭）を産出している炭鉱「ラベンスワース・ノース」の保有権益を売却することで合意したと発表した。保有する１０％の権益の全てを、スイス資源大手グレンコアに譲渡する。金額は非公表。（2021/11/05-19:15）

Itochu to Sell Coal Mining Rights in Australia
Japanese trading house Itochu Corp. has reached an agreement to sell its stake in a coal mine in Australia, as part of its decarbonization strategy, according to President Keita Ishii.
Itochu will sell all of its 10 pct stake in the Ravensworth North coal mine in the Australian state of New South Wales, which mainly produces fuel coal for use in power generation, to Swiss resources giant Glencore PLC. The sale price has not been disclosed.
