河野氏先行、岸田氏追う　党員票開票進む―自民新総裁、午後に選出

　菅義偉首相の後継を選ぶ自民党総裁選は２９日午前、郵送などで投じられた党員・党友票の開票が各都道府県連で進んだ。午後には国会議員票の投開票が東京都内のホテルで行われる。党員票では河野太郎規制改革担当相（５８）がリードし、岸田文雄前政調会長（６４）が追う展開になっているが、１回目の投票で決着がつかず、上位２人による決選投票にもつれ込むのは確実。結果は午後３時４０分ごろに判明する見通しだ。
　総裁選に出馬したのは河野、岸田両氏に加え、高市早苗前総務相（６０）、野田聖子幹事長代行（６１）。１回目は議員票と党員票各３８２票の計７６４票、決選投票は議員票３８２票と党員票４７票の計４２９票を争う。
　党員票の開票は午前８時から順次開始。その結果、河野氏は北海道、宮城、福島、茨城、東京、新潟、富山、石川、長野、愛知、大阪、兵庫、和歌山、岡山、愛媛、福岡、長崎、鹿児島の３０以上の都道府県でトップに立った。岸田氏は山形、山梨、島根、広島、山口、香川６県で他候補を上回った。高市、野田両氏はそれぞれ地元の奈良、岐阜両県で１位だった。午後に党本部が集約する。
　大票田の東京では、河野氏が２万９４２５票と抜け出し、岸田氏が１万８６５９票、高市氏が１万４１１８票、野田氏が３９５３票だった。
　一方、旧竹下派の参院議員は２９日の会合で、１回目は自主投票とする一方、決選投票に岸田氏が残った場合は岸田氏を原則支持することを確認した。
　党所属国会議員による投票は午後１時にスタート。即時開票され、午後２時２０分ごろに党員票と合わせた各候補の得票数が発表される。過半数を得た候補がいなければ決選投票に移る。
　新総裁選出に続いて、党大会に代わる両院議員総会や臨時の役員会が開かれ、党役員や閣僚の人事を新総裁に一任する。新総裁は午後６時から記者会見し、人事に着手する。（2021/09/29-13:17）

Regulatory reform minister Taro Kono, among the four Liberal Democratic Party presidential candidates, is taking a lead in terms of the number of votes cast by rank-and-file party members, informed sources said Wednesday.
   The counting of ballots cast by rank-and-file members of Japan's ruling LDP in the presidential election started at the party's prefectural chapters across Japan.
   Kono, 58, topped the other candidates--former LDP policy chief Fumio Kishida, 64, former Internal Affairs and Communications Minister Sanae Takaichi, 60, and LDP Executive Acting Secretary-General Seiko Noda, 61--in Tokyo and many other prefectures, including Miyagi, Tochigi, Gunma and Chiba, the sources said.
   Kishida came in first in the prefectures of Yamagata, Yamanashi and Kagawa, while Noda went to the top in Gifu Prefecture, where her constituency is located.
   Voting by LDP lawmakers is set to begin at a Tokyo hotel at 1 p.m. Wednesday (4 a.m. GMT).
