アフガン退避、自衛隊に終結命令　邦人ら１５人輸送―岸防衛相

　岸信夫防衛相は３１日、アフガニスタンから邦人らを退避させるために派遣した自衛隊に対し、活動終結を命じた。これまでに日本人１人とアフガン人１４人の計１５人を輸送。自衛隊機は隣国パキスタンで待機しているが、９月１日以降に準備が整い次第帰国する。
　退避活動は自衛隊法に基づく。アフガンの首都カブールの空港を管理する米軍が完全撤収したため、現地の安全を確保できず、継続は難しいと判断した。（2021/08/31-20:43）

Japan's Defense Minister Nobuo Kishi ordered the Self-Defense Forces on Tuesday to end their mission to evacuate Japanese citizens and others from Afghanistan.
   The order came in line with the U.S. military's withdrawal from Afghanistan, where the Taliban has returned to power.
   For the evacuation mission, three SDF transport aircraft were sent from Japan. They are on standby in Pakistan after having transported one Japanese national and 14 Afghan people from Afghanistan.
   At a press conference on the day, Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi pointed out that last week's terror attack made it difficult for evacuees to reach the airport in Kabul.
   "We're afraid that there are still (Afghan workers at the Japanese Embassy) who are left unable to evacuate," Kishida said.
