皮膚提供者の確保課題　京アニ放火で被害者救う―関係団体が協力呼び掛け・発生２年

　３６人が犠牲となった京都アニメーション放火殺人事件は、１８日で発生から２年を迎える。事件では、凍結保存されていた第三者の皮膚がやけどを負った被害者の治療に使われた。ただ、死後の皮膚提供に同意するドナーは減少が続き、保存・供給を担う団体は「患者の命を救う上で、皮膚移植は欠かせない」として協力を呼び掛けている。
　事件では、殺人罪などで起訴された青葉真司被告（４３）が第１スタジオ内でガソリンをまいて放火。負傷者も３２人に上り、一般社団法人日本スキンバンクネットワーク（ＪＳＢＮ）は特にやけどがひどかった被害者２人に皮膚を供給した。複数回の移植を行い、うち１人は一命を取り留めた。
　ＪＳＢＮは、ドナーが亡くなった後、１２時間以内に皮膚を採取し、零下１９０度で凍結保存。約８０カ所の医療機関からの要請に応じ、広範囲のやけどで生命が危ぶまれる患者に供給している。
　しかし、皮膚の提供に不可欠なドナーは年々減少している。２００８年は４０人から提供されたが、２０年は３人にとどまった。皮膚の採取に当たり、遺族の承諾を得るコーディネーターの確保が資金不足などから難航しているのが要因という。
　チーフコーディネーターの青木大さん（４４）は「重症のやけど患者が出た時にいつでも対応できるように十分な量の皮膚を保存する必要がある」と指摘。死後に皮膚を提供する意思がある人は、「運転免許証の裏面や臓器提供意思表示カードにその旨を記載してほしい」と話している。（2021/07/18-07:16）

People who suffered burns in the July 2019 deadly arson attack on a Kyoto Animation Co. studio were treated with cryopreserved skin from third parties.
   With the number of people who agree to donate their skin after death on the decline, the Japan Skin Bank Network is calling for cooperation from citizens, noting that skin grafting is essential to saving lives.
   In the arson attack two years ago, 36 people were killed and 32 were injured.
   The network provided skin to two victims who suffered severe burns. After multiple graft operations, one of them escaped death.
   The organization removes skin from the donor within 12 hours of death and preserves the skin at a temperature of minus 190 degrees Celsius. It provides such skin to people under threat of their lives due to extensive burns in response to requests from about 80 registered medical institutions.
