味の素、ケロッグと販売契約を解消

　味の素は６日、日本ケロッグと結んでいたシリアル食品の総販売元としての契約を解消すると発表した。１９６２年から約６０年間、シリアルの販売を味の素が担ってきたが、２０２０年３月末で契約を終える。
　契約更新を迎えるにあたり、日本ケロッグ側が解消を申し入れた。２０年４月以降は「コーンフレーク」や「フロスティ」などの商品を、日本ケロッグが独自に販売する。味の素は「シリアルの普及という当初の目的は達成した」（広報部）と説明している。（2019/09/06-16:41）

Ajinomoto to End Cereal Sales Contract with Kellogg

Japanese seasoning maker Ajinomoto Co. said Friday it will scrap a contract to distribute and sell cereal products of U.S. producer Kellogg Co. in Japan.
Ajinomoto has been selling Kellogg cereals since 1962. The contract, however, will be terminated at the end of next March.
