元スノボ代表、国母容疑者を逮捕＝営利目的で大麻密輸疑い―麻薬取締部

　米国から営利目的で大麻を密輸したとして、関東信越厚生局麻薬取締部は６日、大麻取締法違反（営利目的輸入）容疑でスノーボード男子ハーフパイプの元日本代表、国母和宏容疑者（３１）＝北海道千歳市駒里＝を逮捕し、自宅を家宅捜索した。
　同部によると、国母容疑者は同日午前に東京都千代田区の同部庁舎に出頭。調べに対し、営利目的は否定しているが、大筋で容疑を認めているという。
　逮捕容疑は昨年１２月、知人の３０代男＝大麻取締法違反罪で起訴＝と共謀し、国際スピード郵便で米国から大麻製品約５７グラムを密輸した疑い。
　同部によると、郵便物の中に大麻成分を含む茶色い粘性物が隠されていた。成田空港の税関検査で発覚し、同部が東京税関と共同で捜査していた。（2019/11/06-19:35）

Snowboarder Kokubo Arrested for Alleged Cannabis Smuggling

Former Japanese snowboard Olympian Kazuhiro Kokubo was arrested Wednesday for allegedly smuggling cannabis from the United States for profit.
   The narcotics control department of the Kanto-Shinetsu Regional Bureau of Health and Welfare also searched his home on the same day.
   According to the department, Kokubo, 31, a resident of Chitose, Hokkaido, appeared at the department's office building in Tokyo's Chiyoda Ward in the morning.
   He largely admitted the allegations against him but denied any intention of making profits, informed sources said.
   Kokubo is suspected of conspiring with a male acquaintance to smuggle about 57 grams of a cannabis product from the United States in December 2018, using an international express mail service.
