日本電産、三菱重の子会社買収　工作機械、ＥＶ技術を強化

　日本電産は５日、三菱重工業の子会社で切削工具の製造や販売を手掛ける三菱重工工作機械（滋賀県栗東市）を買収すると発表した。工作機械事業を取得し、電気自動車（ＥＶ）用駆動モーターに組み合わせるギアの技術を強化して販売を拡大する狙いだ。買収額は数百億円規模とみられ、５月までの完了を目指す。
　日本電産はＥＶモーターを成長の柱と位置付け、モーターにギアなどを組み合わせたＥＶ駆動システムを量産している。自動車の電動化加速で今後さらなる需要を見込んでおり、同社は販売拡大には「ギアの強化が必要不可欠」と強調。主要部品の内製化を進め、生産スピードの向上とコスト削減につなげたい考えだ。（2021/02/05-12:09）

Nidec Corp. said Friday that it will acquire Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Machine Tool Co., aiming to strengthen production of gears used in electric vehicle traction units.
The Kyoto-based company is expected to spend tens of billions of yen on the acquisition of the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. subsidiary. It plans to complete the acquisition by May.
