バンコク東急百貨店、営業終了　コロナ追い打ち、３５年の歴史に幕

　【バンコク時事】タイのバンコク中心部にある東急百貨店の店舗が１月３１日、営業を終了した。週末と重なった３０～３１日は撤退を惜しむ多くの地元客が押し寄せ、入店制限がかかるほどのにぎわいを見せた。
　東急百貨店のＭＢＫセンター店は１９８５年に開業した。在留邦人や外国人旅行者の人気を集めたが、商業施設の増加で競合が激化。新型コロナウイルスによる観光客の激減が追い打ちをかけ、３５年の歴史に幕を閉じた。
　バンコクでは９２年開業の伊勢丹が昨年８月に閉店。残る大手の日系百貨店は２０１８年開業の高島屋だけとなった。（2021/02/01-10:26）

Japan's Tokyu Department Store Co. closed its outlet in central Bangkok on Sunday, after 35 years of service in the Thai capital.
Over the weekend, the store had to introduce entry restrictions as it became packed with customers who hoped to enjoy the last opportunity to shop there.
