パナソニック、太陽電池の生産撤退　採算悪化、来年度中に

　パナソニックが太陽電池の生産から撤退する方針を固めたことが３１日、分かった。２０２１年度中にマレーシア工場や島根工場（島根県雲南市）での生産を終了する。中国メーカーなど海外勢との価格競争が激しくなり、採算が悪化していた。
　太陽電池をめぐっては、米電気自動車大手テスラと続けてきた共同生産体制も昨年、解消している。生産からは撤退するが、家庭用や事業所向けに行っている太陽光発電システムの販売は継続する方針。島根工場では、電力管理に用いる周辺機器の生産に集中する。（2021/01/31-11:36）

Japan's Panasonic to Scrap Solar Cell Production

Japanese electronics giant Panasonic Corp. has decided to scrap its unprofitable operations to make solar cells amid ever-increasing price competition, it was learned Sunday.
Solar cell production at the company's Malaysian plant and Shimane plant in Unnan, Shimane Prefecture, western Japan, will be terminated by the end of March 2022.
