東京の女児が変異種感染　渡航歴なし、市中感染か―厚労省

　厚生労働省は２２日、海外渡航歴がない東京都内の１０歳未満の女児から、英国で流行する新型コロナウイルスの変異種が検出されたと発表した。女児は陽性が確認された都内の４０代男性の濃厚接触者で、この男性が感染源とみられる。男性が変異種に感染しているかは検査中だが、海外渡航歴などはなく、厚労省は市中感染の疑いがあるとみている。
　英国型変異種は従来種よりも感染力が７０％高いとされ、市中感染の疑い例は、静岡県内でも見つかっている。女児の変異種感染は都内で２２日までに陽性が判明した約１４５０人分の検体の遺伝情報を調べる中で判明した。女児以外に変異種感染者はおらず、厚労省の担当者は「現時点では都内で変異種感染が拡大しているとは考えていない」と話している。（2021/01/22-21:55）

Girl in Japan Tests Positive for Coronavirus Variant

A Tokyo girl who has never been overseas has tested positive for a variant of the novel coronavirus that is spreading in Britain, Japan's health ministry said Friday.
   The case of the girl, who is under 10 years old, is suspected to be community-acquired infection from a Tokyo man who had tested positive for the virus.
   The man, who is currently being tested for a variant of the coronavirus, has no record of traveling overseas.
   The girl's case was found during a genetic survey of some 1,450 people infected with the coronavirus in Tokyo. No other variant case has been confirmed among them.
   The survey does not indicate that variant cases are spreading in Tokyo, a ministry official said.
