関電、６年ぶり増収増益＝岩根社長は会見欠席－１９年９月中間決算

　関西電力が２８日発表した２０１９年４～９月期の連結決算は、上半期として６年ぶりの増収増益となった。昨年７月の電気料金値下げなどで電気事業は苦戦したが、ガス事業や住宅販売事業が好調で、売上高は前年同期比１．５％増の１兆６３４１億円だった。各利益も火力燃料費の減少などが貢献し、大幅に拡大した。
　大阪市の本社で記者会見する予定だった岩根茂樹社長は急きょ欠席した。関電広報担当者によると、２８日午前の取締役会には出席したが、体調悪化のため病院に向かったという。同社は「過労による体調不良と思われる」と説明している。（2019/10/28-20:36）

Kansai Electric Power Co. said Monday that its April-September group sales and profits rose from the year-before levels for the first time in six years.
The company posted sales of 1,634,197 million yen in the six months to Sept. 30, up 1.5 pct, as its strong housing and gas sales operations covered the sluggishness of its mainstay power supply business that stemmed from electricity rate cuts in July last year.
