次世代車が一堂に＝東京モーターショー開幕

　国内最大の自動車見本市「東京モーターショー」が２４日、東京ビッグサイト（東京都江東区）などで開幕した。電気自動車（ＥＶ）や人工知能（ＡＩ）搭載車といった次世代のクルマが一堂に会し、未来の移動手段（モビリティー）を体感できる場となる。
　自動車各社は今回、世界的に開発競争が激化しているＥＶに力を入れている。トヨタ自動車は、ＡＩとドライバーが対話する機能を備えた試作車「ＬＱ」や、２人乗りの超小型タイプを出展。日産自動車はスポーツ用多目的車（ＳＵＶ）の「ニッサン　アリア　コンセプト」、ホンダは都市部の移動を想定した「ホンダｅ」をそれぞれ展示する。マツダも同社初の量産タイプ「ＭＸ－３０」を公開する。
　一般公開は２５日から１１月４日まで。入場料は当日券が大人２０００円（前売り１８００円）、高校生以下は無料で、１００万人の来場を目指している。
　モーターショーを主催する日本自動車工業会の豊田章男会長（トヨタ社長）は、２４日午前の開会式で「これからの車は（自動運転や電動化など）ＣＡＳＥと呼ばれる技術革新であらゆるモノ・サービスとつながり、社会システムの一部になる」とあいさつした。（2019/10/24-12:09）

The 46th Tokyo Motor Show opened Thursday at the Tokyo Big Sight convention center and nearby facilities in Koto Ward, showcasing a further mobility paradigm shift to electric vehicles and self-driving cars.
   "Future vehicles are to be connected to various things and services through a technological innovation called CASE and become part of the social system," Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA) Chairman Akio Toyoda, also president of Toyota Motor Corp. , said in his address at the opening ceremony. CASE is short for connected, autonomous, shared and electric.
   Amid intensifying competition for developing vehicles to meet increasingly stringent global environment standards, automakers are particularly touting their electric models.
   Toyota is displaying the LQ electric concept featuring autonomous driving functions and artificial intelligence that creates a comfortable driving environment through conversation with the driver. It also introduced a mass-production micromini model that will hit the streets in winter 2020.
   Nissan Motor Co. is exhibiting the Nissan Ariya Concept electric sport utility vehicle, while Honda Motor Co. is displaying the Honda e, a compact electric car designed for urban use.
