歌舞伎、狂言で賓客もてなし＝海老蔵さんら披露－首相晩さん会

　安倍晋三首相は２３日夜、「即位礼正殿の儀」参列のため来日した外国賓客らとの晩さん会を東京都内のホテルで開いた。狂言師の野村萬斎さん、歌舞伎俳優の市川海老蔵さん、文楽人形遣いの吉田玉男さんが共演。能も披露された。
　首相はあいさつで、「わが国は令和の時代に国際社会と手を携え、世界の平和と繁栄、地球規模課題の解決、科学技術や文化の発展、相互理解の促進に一層の貢献を行っていく決意だ」と強調。昭恵夫人とともに賓客らをもてなした。

　野村さんらが演じたのは、五穀豊穣（ほうじょう）を祈り舞う「三番叟（さんばそう）」という演目。成立の時期が異なる狂言、歌舞伎、文楽が共演することで、時代を超えて共存する日本の伝統文化をアピールした。
　能の演目は獅子が豪快に舞う「石橋（しゃっきょう）」。能楽師の観世清和さんと息子の三郎太さん親子が共演した。（2019/10/23-20:01）

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe hosted a banquet at a Tokyo hotel on Wednesday for foreign guests who attended Emperor Naruhito's "Sokuirei-Seiden-no-Gi" enthronement proclamation ceremony the previous day, entertaining them with traditional performing arts.
   The banquet featured kyogen actor Nomura Mansai, kabuki actor Ichikawa Ebizo and "bunraku" puppet play performer Yoshida Tamao.
   "Our country is resolved to cooperate with the international community in the era of Reiwa and contribute to world peace and prosperity, the development of science, technology and culture and the promotion of mutual understanding," Abe said in a speech.
   The new Japanese era of Reiwa started in May, in line with the new Emperor's accession to the throne.
   Nomura, Ichikawa and Yoshida performed the "Sanbaso" program, in which they danced while praying for huge harvests, showcasing Japanese traditional performing arts that originated in different eras.
