留学生の日本就職１５．７％増＝１８年

　出入国在留管理庁は２３日、２０１８年に日本企業などに就職した外国人留学生が前年比１５．７％増の２万５９４２人だったと発表した。記録が残る１９９２年以降最多。増加は８年連続で、留学生自体の増加が主な要因とみられる。
　国別にみると、最多は中国の１万８８６人。ベトナム５２４４人、ネパール２９３４人、韓国１５７５人と続き、アジア諸国が全体の９５．３％を占めた。伸び率が最も高かったのはネパールで、前年比４４．８％増。入管庁によると、ネパールでは日本への留学志向が近年高まっている。
　就職先での職務内容は、多い順に「翻訳・通訳」２３．６％、「販売・営業」１３．４％、「海外業務」９．０％、「技術開発（情報処理分野）」６．５％などとなった。（2019/10/23-09:35）

The number of foreign students who found employment in Japanese corporations in 2018 rose 15.7 pct from the previous year to 25,942, the Immigration Services Agency said Wednesday.
   The figure, up for the eighth consecutive year, was the highest since records began in 1992. The increase can be attributed to growth in the number of foreign nationals studying in Japan.
   China was the largest country of origin for foreign students hired in Japan, with 10,886 students, followed by Vietnam with 5,244, Nepal with 2,934 and South Korea with 1,575. Students from Asian countries accounted for 95.3 pct of all foreign students who found employment in Japan.
   Nepalese students saw the largest growth in Japanese employment, increasing 44.8 pct. According to the agency, interest among Nepalese students in studying in Japan has been on the rise in recent years.
   By type of employment, translation and interpretation were the most popular job description, with 23.6 pct of students hired for the work, followed by sales at 13.4 pct, overseas business at 9.0 pct and technology development in the field of data processing at 6.5 pct.
