田辺三菱子会社、年内に最終治験　コロナワクチンで「有望な抗体反応」

　【ニューヨーク時事】カナダのバイオ医薬品企業メディカゴは１２日、開発中の新型コロナウイルスワクチンと英製薬大手グラクソ・スミスクラインの免疫補助剤（アジュバント）を用いた３万人超を対象とする最終の臨床試験（治験）を年末までに開始すると発表した。メディカゴは田辺三菱製薬（大阪市）の子会社。
　メディカゴは１０日、前期の治験で被験者全員が有望な抗体反応を示したと公表していた。安全性と有効性を確認するため、段階的に大規模な治験に移行する。（2020/11/13-08:16）

Mitsubishi Tanabe Unit to Start Final Vaccine Trials by Year-End

A Canadian unit of Japan's Mitsubishi Tanabe Pharma Corp. said Thursday it will start final-phase clinical trials of its COVID-19 vaccine candidate on over 30,000 people by the year-end.
The vaccine candidate of Quebec-based Medicago Inc., a biological drug company, contains an adjuvant developed by British drugmaker GlaxoSmithKline PLC, or GSK.
