すかいらーく、「ガスト」など２００店閉店　首都圏中心、雇用は維持

　すかいらーくホールディングスは１２日、首都圏を中心に、ファミリーレストラン「ガスト」「ジョナサン」など約２００店を２０２１年末までに閉店すると発表した。新型コロナウイルスの影響で不採算に陥った店舗の閉鎖により、業績の立て直しを図る。閉店に伴う人員削減は行わず、配置転換などで雇用は維持する。
　閉店数は約３２００に上るグループ全店の約６％に当たる。残る店舗の一部でも、空揚げ専門店「から好（よ）し」など集客効果を高められる業態への転換などを進める。オンラインで記者会見した谷真社長は、来年の市場環境について「（コロナ前の）１９年並みに回復するのは極めて難しい」と指摘。メニュー削減を含む営業の効率化を急ぐ考えを示した。（2020/11/12-20:17）

Skylark to Close 200 Gusto, Other Restaurants

Japanese restaurant chain operator Skylark Holdings Co. said Thursday that it will close some 200 unprofitable outlets mainly in the Tokyo metropolitan area, including those under its mainstay Gusto and Jonathan's brands, by the end of 2021.
The company aims to rebuild its operations by shutting down the outlets, which have been hit hard by the impact of the novel coronavirus crisis. The outlets account for about 6 pct of the some 3,200 restaurants of the Skylark group.
