任天堂、純利益３．４倍　巣ごもりで「あつ森」好調―９月中間

　任天堂が５日発表した２０２０年９月中間連結決算は、純利益が前年同期に比べ３．４倍の２１３１億円に達した。家庭用ゲーム機「ニンテンドースイッチ」やゲームソフト「あつまれ　どうぶつの森」などの販売好調が要因。新型コロナウイルス流行で外出を控えてゲームを楽しむ巣ごもり需要が収益拡大を後押しし、過去最高を更新した。
　売上高は７３．３％増の７６９５億円、本業のもうけを示す営業利益は３．１倍の２９１４億円だった。携帯専用機と合わせたスイッチシリーズの販売台数は８０．９％増の１２５３万台。３月に発売した「あつ森」の販売は１４２７万本、累計で２６０４万本となった。
　好調な売れ行きを受け、スイッチシリーズの今期の予想販売台数を２４００万台（従来１９００万台）、関連ソフトは１億７０００万本（同１億４０００万本）に引き上げた。（2020/11/05-19:11）

Japanese game maker Nintendo Co. said Thursday that it enjoyed a 3.4-fold jump in its April-September net profit, thanks to demand for games as people stayed at home amid the coronavirus pandemic.
For the first half of fiscal 2020, Nintendo reported a consolidated net profit of 213,123 million yen, the highest level on record, on the back of strong sales of the Nintendo Switch game console and the game title "Animal Crossing: New Horizons."
