「温室ガスゼロ」実現へ行動計画　技術開発支援に政策総動員―梶山経産相

　梶山弘志経済産業相は２６日記者会見し、２０５０年までに温室効果ガスの排出量を実質ゼロとする目標の実現に向け、年内をめどに行動計画を取りまとめると発表した。梶山氏は「（目標達成は）簡単でなく、日本の総力を挙げての取り組みが必要だ」と強調。設備投資減税をはじめ政策を総動員する意向を示したが、実現には高性能な蓄電池など開発途上技術の商用化や、不信が根強い原発の再稼働を進める必要があり、難航が予想される。
　菅義偉首相は同日、衆参両院本会議で行われた所信表明演説で「脱炭素化社会の実現を目指す」と宣言した。これを受け梶山氏は経産省で臨時会見を開き、５０年までに温室ガス排出を実質ゼロにする目標に向け「温室ガスの８割を占めるエネルギー分野での取り組みが重要だ」と指摘。関連技術で国際競争力向上を目指す考えを示した。（2020/10/26-19:47）

Japan will draw up an action plan by year-end to realize the goal of reducing its greenhouse gas emissions effectively to zero by 2050, industry minister Hiroshi Kajiyama said Monday.
   "It's not easy. Japan needs all-out efforts to tackle the issue," Kajiyama told a press conference.
   He expressed readiness to utilize all possible policy measures, including tax cuts to promote capital expenditure, to help develop new emission reduction technologies.
   But Japan faces many hurdles. Drastic emission cuts require commercialized technologies for high-performance storage batteries and other products still under development.
   It is also necessary to restart idled nuclear reactors despite lingering safety concerns over nuclear power plants following the 2011 meltdowns at Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings Inc.'s Fukushima No. 1 power plant.
