リサイクル拠点、全国で整備へ　使用済み紙おむつ―ユニ・チャーム

　日用品大手のユニ・チャームは２２日、高齢者や乳幼児の使用済み紙おむつを回収し、原材料として再資源化する拠点を、２０３０年までに全国１０カ所以上で整備する方針を明らかにした。多くの使用済み製品が焼却処分されており、素材のリサイクルと二酸化炭素（ＣＯ２）排出抑制への取り組みを加速させる。
　同社は既に、使用済み紙おむつから原材料のパルプを取り出して特殊設備で洗浄し、新たな製品に使用可能なパルプに再資源化する技術を開発した。１６年から、鹿児島県の志布志市と大崎町で回収・再資源化の実証実験を重ねている。（2020/10/22-20:36）

Japanese daily goods maker Unicharm Corp. said Thursday that it will set up at least 10 bases throughout Japan to collect and recycle used disposable diapers by the end of 2030.
As many of the used diapers for babies and elderly people are incinerated, the company hopes to speed up moves to recycle them and to cut down on carbon dioxide emissions.
